Even in the rain, this one-day 4X4 trip on the White Rim Trail was tremendous. You'll see Musselman Arch, the climactic spot in Thelma and Louise where Susan Sarandon and Gina Davis drove off the "Grand Canyon" cliff, go down to the Colorado River at Lathrop canyon over some thrilling terrain. And finally, you'll climb the engineering marvel, the Shafer Trail, gaining 1,500 feet along colorful sandstone walls. The rain created streams washing down the side of the road that added to the excitement. At one rock art spot, we hiked into an alcove behind a rain-created waterfall that was both musical and magical. Our guide, David, shared his passion for many interests -- ancient rock art, geology, music composition, and cowboy anecdotes about the area. His perspective was like the cherry on top of the hot fudge (or redrock) sundae.

we did the 9 hour tour. I was amazing, we had Chance out tour guide who had a ton of info on the land , geographical periods, environment. He made the trip worth going on. Just a note 9 hours was a bit much of a tour, but worth doing at least once in your life

The views along the Schaeffer Road were incredible as we descended into the canyon with thrilling twists and turns on the cliffs edge. Saw big horn sheep grazing and made lots of stops to explore and take photos. We ate a delicious lunch along the Colorado River which is included. This was our second trip with Ric Otero as our guide and his knowledge of the area made it even more interesting.
