Carlsbad 3-Hour Electric Bike Rental

Overview

You will pick up the electric bikes at our store and receive brief training and directions on where you can go on this self guided ride. Then you will enjoy riding an electric bike along the coastline in Carlsbad for 3 hours. Check out the surfers and the waves crashing on the beach. The bike lane parallels the beach for approximately 6 miles and then continues through the quaint little towns. There are plenty of places to stop along with way and sit on the beach, shop or get a bite to eat.

The bike ride was fine until halfway through a 3-hour rental one of the bike batteries completely died. We had gone about 10 miles down several hills and getting back without battery assist was quite a challenge. To make matters worse, the Pedego associate had absolutely no sympathy nor offered any kind of refund even though we did not get what we paid for and ended our rental early. This essentially ruined our bike ride. Do not recommend and would never use Pedego ever again!

Sorry for the experience. I really wished you would have called us when you experienced the problem. We identified a faulty charging port on that particular battery that gave it a false full reading. We would have ran a new battery out to you ASAP to avoided your frustration of riding it back without juice. I have since refunded you the rental on that bike.

SO MUCH FUN!!! We went through Oceanside on bike trail then to San Luis Rey trail. Round trip took about 3 hours.

One word to describe the experience and customer service AMAZING! David, Bobby, and Diego were excellent. They were patient and made sure that we had a memorable experience. They went over the bike instructions in great detail and gave us a basket and locks for our bikes. The icing on the cake was when we returned the bicycles they made sure to show you that they shredded your personal information ( the copy of your DL and credit card) needed when renting the bikes. I wish more places operated in such a fashion. Five stars.
