Sunset Cultural Center
This is the meeting place for Carmel Food Tours. Look for the tall, Gothic-style arch and huge windows. It looks a little like a church, but it's not. When you descend into the courtyard, which is located EXACTLY at the intersection of 9th & San Carlos, you'll be greeted by your tour guide.

Loved it! From the moment we parked ( free parking by the way).We walked thru 7 different places from Mexican to Italian and even a bakery ,chocolatier and a olive oil and balsamic store.Sampled at each stop and they are very generous. The owner at Cafe Carmel bakery was very friendly and invited us in the back where she prepares everything- very informative and we al got a Huge slice of yummy cheesecake. Our tour guide Kimberly was great as she was born and raised in Carmel so she knew a lot of the history. A definite must see.

During my one day stay in beautiful Carmel, I decided to take a tour with Carmel Food Tours. This was my first time visiting Carmel and I wanted to taste my way through like a local. I along with 15 other guests ate our way through the gallery & restaurant-lined streets of Carmel. I have taken several food tours and this one, by far, has the best honey, oil and vinegar tasting I have experienced! The weather was perfect and the rest of the tastings were delightful. There was a mix of restaurant and specialty locations. Thanks to a helpful hint from our tour guide Kimberly, I knew exactly where I wanted to go after the tour, the beach, only a few steps away from the final tasting location. Kimberly was insightful and friendly! If you want to eat your way through Carmel like a local, I would highly recommend Carmel Food Tours.

The first stop with amazing onion tart and short ribs on polenta let us know we were in for a treat. The rest of the tour did not disappoint. Our young guide was so amiable and knowledgeable. We had a mixture of restaurants - hand picked and excellent - and a stop at a honey business started by a boy's school project, as well as a delicious olive oil and balsamic vinegar specialty shop. We learned to mix some of our tiramisu in our coffee and topped our tour off at a chocolatiers. We went back to one of the restaurants our last night in Carmel and had an amazing dinner. Our thanks to the tour company for giving us this great treat.
