Our off-road and hiking tours are not recommended for people with conditions that will be aggravated by bumpy roads. We do our best to keep the bumps to a minimum but some roads are rugged and bumpy and you can expect some jostling.

What To Expect

Capitol Reef National Park

Join us for a drive through Capitol Reefs back country to a scenic paradise of desert landscapes in our luxury 4X4 vehicle through cathedrals, temples, buttes and hoodoos that will get you away from most all of the park’s visitors. We’ll ford the Fremont River and stop at the Bentonite Hills, walk around, take pictures, talk about the geology and history of the area, stop at viewpoints along the way and enjoy the solitude, visit the iconic Temples of the Sun and Moon, see geological oddities such as Glass Mountain and ancient lava flows. This trip has tons of photographic opportunities and is missed by most visitors to Capitol Reef due to its remote location and often times challenging roads. If you're looking for a Jeep tour of Capitol Reef give us a shot, we don't drive Jeep but have more comfortable luxury vehicle to accommodate larger groups, enjoy the air conditioning on those hot summer days or enclosed SUV with a heater for the chilly days! We do winter tours as well.

Jason was an excellent guide! He grew up in the area and shares lots of stories and info that we would never have heard otherwise. We highly recommend this tour!

Jason is the BEST. He showed us amazing things. For me the price of the tours are worth every Dollar and then some. He explains geology really well, without sounding high on the horse, We also took the tour to Goblin Valley via the backroads.

Excellent tour with jason. My wife and i had an amazing day touring with jason around capital reef. We saw cathedral valley, Indian rock art panels, the highlights of the area and more. we enjoyed his story's and the history lessons of the area. The vehicle we rode in was air conditioned and very comfortable to ride in. i must point our, even if we had rented a 4x4 jeep i dont think i would have been comfortable driving it to the places we went to. thanks jason!!! I also booked a 2nd night tour to photo the hickmen bridge with the moon in it. (this is one of my favorite pictures from the trip) jason had everything we needed to go including head lamps and camera settings. i would not hesitate to book another tour with waterpocket adventure company. next time i am in the area.
