Our off-road and hiking tours are not recommended for people with conditions that will be aggravated by bumpy roads. We do our best to keep the bumps to a minimum but some roads are rugged and bumpy and you can expect some jostling.

What To Expect

Capitol Reef National Park

Join us for a drive through Capitol Reefs back country to a scenic paradise of desert landscapes in our luxury 4X4 vehicle through cathedrals, temples, buttes and hoodoos that will get you away from most all of the park’s visitors. We’ll ford the Fremont River and stop at the Bentonite Hills, walk around, take pictures, talk about the geology and history of the area, stop at viewpoints along the way and enjoy the solitude, visit the iconic Temples of the Sun and Moon, see geological oddities such as Glass Mountain and ancient lava flows. This trip has tons of photographic opportunities and is missed by most visitors to Capitol Reef due to its remote location and often times challenging roads. If you're looking for a Jeep tour of Capitol Reef give us a shot, we don't drive Jeep but have more comfortable luxury vehicle to accommodate larger groups, enjoy the air conditioning on those hot summer days or enclosed SUV with a heater for the chilly days! We do winter tours as well.

This was the kind of outing that our family is always looking for -> off the beaten track, stunning scenery and knowledgeable guide. Jason was an outstanding guide; wealth of experience and knowledge of the Capitol Reef and Utah in general. It was a bonus that he is an experienced photographer and shared some tips and also took some great shots of our family in this mystical wonderland. Cannot recommend Jason highly enough.

We were two couples touring together, and had a fantastic fun, highly edu-tainonal time with Jason. The vehicle was clean and roomy, even for us extra tall people, and Jason showed a true knack for finding the tone with everyone. This trip was a true joy from the first stop to the last, with a string of pleasant surprises and breath taking views and small hikes in between. Part of the fun was how Jason managed to subtly over-deliver time and time again. I had pretty high expectations and still ended up with more WOW” moments than not. There is no way we would have found or experienced more than a fraction of what Jason rounded up, had we even mustered the courage to navigate the backroad ourselves. Going the backroads provided us the option to see many of the spectacular geological features from multiple different angles, and really appreciating how perspective, colors and shapes makes them look so different. If you want a super knowledgeable, fun guide, with awesome humor and a very sure hand on the wheel - look no further. Didn’t hurt that this guy has kick-butt knowledge of not only everything Capitol Reef, but surrounding parks, hikes, dining options and photography as well. Just ask! We went late spring, and really lucked out with both weather (not too hot) and seeing a desert in bloom. Don’t be afraid to ask to stop and smell the roses:) Would sign up with Jason again in a heartbeat.

Top notch well knowledgeable guide who took the extra efforts to make sure me and the wife had an excellent visit to Cathedral Valley and especially the Temple of the Moon and Sun. We had a tour on Saturday afternoon (5/14) with Jason, (owner and operator of out tour) was fantastic and showed us some things we would never of expected to see - -Triceratops bones and even an image of a husky on the rock wall. Tour was private for Judas to me and my wife’s Jin a comfortable Ford Explorer - (not a Jeep) and we did go Off Road!!! His knowledge of area and geology was deep and complete. He also made a special addiction to the tour to allow us some late days photos in Capitol Reef. Hands down - - if you want a tour with someone who LISTENS and values you as a customer, look no further
