Our off-road and hiking tours are not recommended for people with conditions that will be aggravated by bumpy roads. We do our best to keep the bumps to a minimum but some roads are rugged and bumpy and you can expect some jostling.

What To Expect

Capitol Reef National Park

Join us for a drive through Capitol Reefs back country to a scenic paradise of desert landscapes in our luxury 4X4 vehicle through cathedrals, temples, buttes and hoodoos that will get you away from most all of the park’s visitors. We’ll ford the Fremont River and stop at the Bentonite Hills, walk around, take pictures, talk about the geology and history of the area, stop at viewpoints along the way and enjoy the solitude, visit the iconic Temples of the Sun and Moon, see geological oddities such as Glass Mountain and ancient lava flows. This trip has tons of photographic opportunities and is missed by most visitors to Capitol Reef due to its remote location and often times challenging roads. If you're looking for a Jeep tour of Capitol Reef give us a shot, we don't drive Jeep but have more comfortable luxury vehicle to accommodate larger groups, enjoy the air conditioning on those hot summer days or enclosed SUV with a heater for the chilly days! We do winter tours as well.

We had an amazing half day tour with Kevin! We were there after the monsoon the previous week, so he recommended we drive the upper Cathedral Valley. It was an awe-inspiring morning - visiting natural monuments, vistas and 4x4 driving through back country. We learned so much from Kevin about the park and area. He was kind, fun and so easy to be with. I'd recommend this tour for couples, families or friends looking for a more personalized experience. Capitol Reef is a "less-traveled" park, but offers such a special, untouched feel. Ask for Kevin!!

Going well beyond my expectations, this was a totally unique and fantastic private tour "first-time" experience. Jason Willard offers a lifetime of expertise in all aspects of a Capitol Reef tour. His remarkable knowledge includes not only where to go and how to safely get there but includes as much of the fascinating history and geology of the area as you would like to know. Jason is a native of the area and US Army Vet. This allows an exceptional level of courtesy and safety to this astonishing experience. From my vantage, this was more than reasonably priced

We did a lot of research, prior to our visit, on the Capital Reef National Park options and were overwhelmed at the length of the recommend hikes in the area. Fortunately we found the ‘Private Off- Road and Hiking in Capital Reef’ tour online and decided to go for it! This is a 4x4 tour in an incredible off road vehicle that will take you places you would never be able to see on your own. Our guide Jason was incredible. He is a retired Army Special Forces Soldier with years of experience in law enforcement. Jason is a real gentleman who is true to his word and delivers more than is promised in his company’s description of the tour. His knowledge of the area, the geology of the many formations we visited, and his willingness to customize the trip to meet our wishes was incredible. As our 5 hour tour was coming to a close, and Jason was driving us back to our hotel, I asked where we should go to see some of the Indian petroglyphs that the area is so famous for. Without hesitation, Jason extended our tour by over an hour and guided us to an amazing, very out of the way, sheer cliff that contained a large series of ancient petroglyphs and what can only be described as ‘graffiti’ from the 1800’s! For me this was the highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour and know that you will find, as I did, that this is the best value available guided tour in the Capital Reef area.
