This cave starts and ends with 8 flights of stairs and tour is an hour. Tour is great for younger kids as once you pass the stairs the cave has several wide open rooms. We visited for Spring Break and Mike was our guide. He was very knowledgeable but wasn't to thrilled to answer all of the kids' silly questions. Overall, highly recommend this cave.

We went back to San Antonio for our 10 year anniversary. Revisited there is places that we went to on our honeymoon and wanted to try out a different cavern this time around. The experience was definitely unique and more personalized. We will definitely be coming back here next time and enjoyed our tour guide and also Andi, One of their leaders for the day gave us some of the best service! She was great with the kids very knowledgeable about some of the stones my kids had questions on and even left for us to give our daughter her unicorn hat that we left behind. Definitely a new family favorite and canā€™t wait to bring more family to see. The gem panning was fun for the kidā€™s and also having them pick out gems to put into baggies.

We were booked as a private tour and it was amazing! The tour guide, Andi, was so informative and fun! She allowed us to ask a million questions and sweetly explained anything that the kids (and adults) asked about. These family-owned caverns are a must-see if you are anywhere in the vicinity. We are already planning our next trip! The giftshop is wonderful and full of gems to remember your trip by, a true giftshop for the caverns without all of the commercial products. Truly a gem!
