What To Expect

Apollo Theater

Learn about Central Harlem during the Harlem Renaissance and Civil Rights era, as well as the current developments of the area. Stroll around the 125th street shopping corridor, visit the African Market in Little Senegal, and see stately homes and architecture in the historic district. See and learn about the Apollo Theater, Speaker’s Corner, Hotel Theresa and other sites contributing to the rich and diverse history and legacy of Harlem.

Harlem

The route runs from 145th Street to 125th Street in Harlem. Some sites includes Harlem School of the Arts, Strivers Row, Harlem Hospital Murals, Schomburg Center, Astor Place, 125th Street-Apollo Theater.

This was superb, I'm really glad we went. I felt we learnt a lot, but the guide was fun and easy-going so the knowledge came across with a light touch. It was a real pleasure to get to see the area, and to be shown as much as we were. Would definitely take another tour in future.
