I went on the tour with my photography club and we had Zim for our tour guide. She was great and everyone enjoyed the lessons she had to teach us. We were all very satisfied with the feedback Zim gave us.

My photo safari with Zim was incredible! She started the safari by discussing my expectations and my skill level as a photographer- then we were off to start snapping! The safari began at Bethesda Fountain, and over the 2 hours we covered a large circle around the area. As a beginner, I was hoping for a hands-on, engaging experience; this is exactly what Zim provided. We discussed not only the importance of what you photograph, but why. We found ourselves in (intentionally) tough lighting situations where we had to prioritize one subject over another. We captured details of grand ceilings, massiveness of trees, and movement in the elaborate design of Central Park. I would recommend this course to all photographers who are looking to expand their knowledge, challenge themselves, and want an unforgettable experience. Zim was kind, patient, hilarious, and made an excellent 'best friend' for my photos. Thank you Zim, and the team at NYC Photo Safari!!!

Zim was wonderful. No nonsense, challenging, supportive and direct. She didn't waste time with banal niceties; she was there to share her 20+ years experience as a photographer and she was fantastic. She wanted you to make mistakes because it was the only way to 1) test your limits, 2) get out of your comfort zone, and 3) learn to find your own, personal aesthetic. I recommend her highly. Oh, by the way, her humor is funny and dry -- perfect for our cloudy and wet time together in Central Park.
