This was my first photo tour. My friend booked this experience for us and I really gained a lot of information. Overall I would definitely recommend this even for the casual photographer (which we were - sporting only iPhones ;). We opted for a private tour. For the extra $75, it was well worth it. We did have a miss in our meeting spot, but once we got going I really learned a lot. Zim was our guide and she asked us right away what we wanted to accomplish/hoped to learn. I found her teaching style easy to understand and entertaining (she made points really stick with good analogies).

I've taken 2 NYC Photo Safari classes and would highly recommend to anyone. Instead of the dozens of other classes where I learned about f-Stop and shutter speed and left still unhappy with my photos, I got lots of great shots with NYC Photo Safari with a lot of guidance and direction from the instructor, Zim. Instead of leaving me overwhelmed with technical info or daunted by trying to apply all that tech info to my practice, I felt more confident and interested in my photography after the first lesson on the tour. Hope to take a 3rd tour soon.

Zim inspired us to learn more about photography and be better..period. She is a joy to be with and I would highly recommend taking a course from her. I learned more about how to use my camera in 3 hours then any other course.
