Strawberry Fields, John Lennon Memorial

The stop was chosen due to its proximity to Lennon's NYC home, The Dakota Apartments, which are just across Central Park West. There is a plaque embedded in one of the boulders along the pathway leading to the mosaic. It lists the 121 countries who endorse Strawberry Fields as a Garden of Peace.

We had the best time on our pedi cab ride through Central Park. I have to admit, I was sceptical about the pedi cab and horse ride touts around by the entrance to Central Park: however, on our final morning my friend and I had enough of walking and wanted to see more of Central Park. We approached a pedi cab driver by the plaza hotel and explained that we only had an hour to be back at the plaza for afternoon tea. We were told that we could have a 45 minute tour seeing all the sights of the hour tour for $60pp. Our driver Alex was amazing and had so much insight and knowledge. He took us to plenty of sights and pointed out places of interest to us and sites from movies. At each spot we were able to get out and explore and Alex was a fantastic photographer. He snapped some amazing shots and even took better photos on his own phone and sent these to us. We had an amazing last day in New York and it was wonderful to be able o see so much in such a short time with a personal photographer and while saving our feet! I would 100% recommend these tours and will definitely be doing one again on return to NYC!

Went in December on our last day and managed to negotiate a decent price as down to our last dollars for a quick bike ride round central park viewing the main sites, fab good fun :)
