Central Park Zoo
The zoo is open every day of the year and features three major biomes: the Tropic Zone, Temperate Territory, and the Polar Circle. From tropical birds, to snow leopards, grizzly bears, and one of the nationā€™s largest colonies of Antarctic penguins, there are animals to enjoy in every season. We also feature the Tisch Childrenā€™s Zoo, a playful adventure for our youngest guests whoā€™ll encounter goats, sheep, some of the worldā€™s most unique ducks, and the only cow who calls Manhattan home. Our goal is to inspire our visitors and connect them to the plight of animals in the wild and the conservation work weā€™re doing to protect them.

If you are in the area, a stop here is worth while with the kids. There aren't many animals, it's quite a small zoo, so 1-2h should be enough for the visit. Bronx Zoo is better if you want to see more animals or to spend more time.

Possibly the worst zoo Iā€™ve ever had the misfortune to contribute my money too! The exhibits are so small, itā€™s not right for the poor animals. Coming from the UK where we have so many great preservation projects allowing the animals some sort of ā€˜normalā€™ life in captivity, j was shocked the experience this place! The tropical exhibition was the only part that felt good enough to comment on. The rest really should be closed! Managed to visit the entire facility in 45 minutes!

Very very cute! It was a great, a lot of the reviews say itā€™s small, but it is the perfect size, you can watch everything for hours and I loved it. My mother also enjoyed it and it was perfect for a day in the city!
