Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. You never know what phantom images you can capture...

I was recently in Charleston for 5 nights and this ghost tour was my absolute favorite thing I did! I had such a great time! The guide was so funny and knowledgeable. I particularly liked that we went into the oldest graveyard in Charleston, while other groups didn't, they just stayed at the gates. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone! A++

The entire family loved the Ghost & Graveyard Tour, but we also took the Ghosts & Dungeon Tour. A lot of the ghost stories were the same, meaning on both the tours we visited the same spots. And what was even worse was the ghost stories were not the same. The facts were different but characters were same. So I suggest doing just one of their Ghost Tours while visiting, otherwise it is waste of money to hear and see the same tour.

Miss Brandy, we very much appreciate your feedback on this one. As you discovered, the Dungeon Tour takes you down into the Provost Dungeon underneath the Old Exchange Building, whereas the Graveyard Tour provides you with access to the graveyard at the Circular Congregational Church, the oldest graveyard in the city. Our guides try to distinguish the Graveyard Tour from the Dungeon Tour, but there can be some overlap. For others reading this review, you may want to consider doing either the Dungeon Tour or the Graveyard Tour, followed by the Haunted Jail Tour or our Spirits of Magnolia Tour (which are completely different in terms of setting and content). Miss Brandy, please feel free to contact Randy Johnson, our Guide Manager, at [email protected], to discuss ways we might make this up to you. Huge thanks for letting us know.
