Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. You never know what phantom images you can capture...

Our guide was so full of information. We took an historical tour the next day and found that we already knew some of what was being said thanks to having heard it on the ghosts and graveyard tour!

I took the ghost and graveyard tour and was very disappointed. Although Tad was personable and we did learn some interesting info ,it was not the “scary “ tour it was advertised as. To be told at the end of your tour “now go home and watch a scary movie!” This was very pricey and I don’t think it was worth it. Merle W On Dec 8, 2019, at 6:44 PM, Bulldog Tours wrote:

Our goal on all of our ghost tours is to scare the bejesus out of our guests. Our philosophy is that no tour can be too scary. Something clearly went awry on your tour. History is an important component, but the focus should be on the ghosts. We are following up with your guide to make improvements to his tour. Your feedback has been enormously helpful and we thank you for that. Please feel free to contact Randy Johnson, our Guide Manager, at [email protected], to discuss ways we might make this up to you. Have a great New Year!

My Wife and I were disappointed in this tour. Admittedly this was our first Ghost/Graveyard Tour so we were not knowing what to expect. I am into genealogy and have visited hundreds of cemeteries so some of the general information concerning burials in the past I already knew. I think we were expecting more local information and lore then a talk about the possibility of the paranormal, some not even related to the Charleston area. We felt for the money the tour did not deliver. Sorry

No need to apologize, CincyVballref. We highly value your opinion, good or otherwise. We learn from each review and it motivates us to do better. Sounds like you and your wife are a discerning audience, given the hundreds of cemeteries you've visited. The tour you took, the Ghost and Graveyard Tour, does, indeed, focus on the ghosts. We should have steered you toward the Spirits of Magnolia Tour, which starts and ends at Magnolia Cemetery, the first rural cemetery in this part of the world. That tour is more informational and might have been better suited to your expectations. Our bad. Please feel free to contact Randy Johnson, our Guide Manager, at [email protected], to explore ways we might make this up to you. Many thanks for the feedback and have a wonderful holiday season.
