Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. I went on this walking tour with my 9 year old and we had a great time! Our tour guide Adam was a magnificent storyteller. There was enough history to satisfy my inner history buff, just enough spooky, creepy tales to keep my daughter hanging on his every word and perfectly timed jokes to put everyone at ease! I’d highly recommend it and if you’re lucky enough to have Adam as your guide, you’ll be guaranteed a great time.

I took the Ghosts & Graveyards tour at 7:30 PM led by Matthew. He assured us he wouldn't don a sheet and no one would jump out and say 'boo!' He shared stories about tragic events and eerie happenings surrounding them. I admit to getting goosebumps a couple times. We didn't run into any ghosts, but the mosquitoes in the graveyard found me. I'd recommend using insect repellent beforehand.

Thank you for the review. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed it overall. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience. Yes, the bugs are definitely an issue in the summer in the South. Great recommendation on the bug spray!
