Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. You never know what phantom images you can capture...

I was unbelievably disappointed and dissatisfied with the ghost tour. Our guide was Nick, and he got so many facts wrong, it was hard to listen until the end. From incorrect dates, to incorrect ages, he made every word out of his mouth a joke. Let me be clear, I am not a skeptic. I absolutely believe in ghosts. But after listening to him, I'm now doubting my original beliefs. Little Julia Legare was a married woman, not 7 when she died. She even had her own children. Also, he brother did not die 7 days later, as he claimed. He said Little Jimmy snuck in to take photos in St Philip's Graveyard... not even close. His name was Harry Reynolds. And it was exactly 99 years later, not 100. This tour is crap. Please dont waste your money. We were going to go back to do the jailhouse tour, but after the load of BS we were fed, ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Feel free to contact Randy Johnson, our Guide Manager, at [email protected], to discuss ways we can make this right. Many thanks for the feedback.

We didn’t know what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised ! Our guide Ben was terrific! He was extremely engaging never lost for words! You can tell he loved his job! We did do this walk at 7:30 and it was still light out when we started but by 8:15 it was Getting dark and made the experience in the graveyard even better. This tour is strictly a walking storytelling tour, no one jumps out to startle you but the stories are fascinating. It is a great way to spend a few hours outside( we had the most wonderful weather conditions!) otherwise there isn’t much to do other than eat and enjoy all the food Charleston has to offer!! I recommend this tour and highly recommend Ben as a guide
