Our guide for the 9:30 tour was Jayson. He is issentially a one-man show and leads the group from historic site to site telling tragic stories of Charleston’s past residents who, let’s just say, didn’t die peacefully. Their spirits remain to haunt the dark alleys and graveyards of old Charleston today. Jayson had a pleasant way of telling you each story and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about Charleston’s history. Group size was nice too, maybe there were 15 of us max. If you’re looking for a haunted house type scare, this is not it, but if you appreciate history with a supernatural twist, you will enjoy this tour.

Our tour guide Bruce, a.k.a Batman, was probably one of the best guides I've ever had on one of these tours. He not only did an amazing job but he literally wrote a book on the subject! Next time we come back and do another tour, I hope we get him again.

We really enjoyed the storytelling adventure thru the graveyard of the circular church and at the gates of St Phillips. Jack, our tour guide, clearly enjoys the subject matter and shares many interesting details about Charleston as well as specific individuals thought to haunt the area. We finished the tour a little ‘chilled’ but moreso enlightened with our curiosity peaked to discover more!
