Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. Our tour was awesome! It was hot though (humid) like the deep south gets and a lot of walking. Take water!!! Enjoyed it and will go again on the jail tour when we go back to Charleston.

Overall: We found Bulldog online and were very excited for our tour during our first visit to Charleston. We had Adam as our tour guide and we found him to be a fantastic storyteller! He definitely knows the history of the city, and more than that was able to tell the stories in such a way that gave you chills even on a hot, humid, summer night. The tour was just the right length and walking distance to get the full effect. Two recommendations: 1. It was very hot and humid - don't forget to bring a bottle of water or a fan! 2. There were other families with small children on our tour. I love kids, but I was hoping the tour guide wouldn't have to censor the experience on account of the kids. He actually handled it well and used more complex vocabulary so the kids wouldn't quite understand. However, I felt bad for the parents who, between each story, had to calm their children down. Perhaps Bulldog would consider grouping families separately from adults to avoid this in the future. We highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Adam! You made our experience in Charleston so much more thrilling!

My friend and I were so excited to do this tour and were so disappointed. From start to finish, it was a complete bore. The guide basically told long, drawn out ghost stories and showed up pictures where the ghosts were pretty much unrecognizable. I didn't expect for ghosts to jump out from behind grave markers but he turned us loose in the graveyard for "one minute and 42 seconds" for all of us to take pictures and then share out the ghosts in them. Needless to say, no one captured any ghosts on their cameras that night. A complete waste of time and money.
