Overview
On Ghost City's Ghosts of Liberty Tour, you will see Haunted Charleston in a completely new way. You will view the Holy City through the paranormal lens of those who risked life and limb for Charleston, and for the birth of a nation.

Combining aspects of Charleston's famous ghost stories with the lesser known haunted tales of the Holy City, the Ghosts of Liberty Tour is a never before seen glimpse at the ghosts of Charleston who, while living, fought so valiantly to keep the city united.

Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon
Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

Our tour guide was Macy Adams. She did a great job on historical facts while relating quite a number of great Ghost Stories of buildings and locations in Charleston! She was also well-versed in Revolutionary and Civil War historical facts of the city. Definitely ask for her on your Ghost Tour!

This was about a good a tour as you could get in my opinion. Even if you're a skeptic/non-believer in ghosts and such like myself, the dark history alone that's told on the tour is more than interesting enough. Lance Colley was my tour guide and he was outstanding, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It also helped being on the 10p.m. tour with no kids.

My group consisted of my 73 year old mom, 47 year old me and my 15 and 10 year old nieces. We all enjoyed the tour! We did the 8:00 pm Ghosts of Liberty tour. Lance was our guide and he was terrific! He is super knowledgable and you can tell he loves what he does. I don't even believe in ghosts but he was able to give me chills! Not only did we see some great places and hear some great stories but we all learned a lot too. This was such a wonderful way to experience the history of Charleston. Looking forward to going again sometime! Thanks for a memorable time, Lance!
