Charleston Ghosts of Liberty Guided Walking Tour

Overview
On Ghost City's Ghosts of Liberty Tour, you will see Haunted Charleston in a completely new way. You will view the Holy City through the paranormal lens of those who risked life and limb for Charleston, and for the birth of a nation.

Combining aspects of Charleston's famous ghost stories with the lesser known haunted tales of the Holy City, the Ghosts of Liberty Tour is a never before seen glimpse at the ghosts of Charleston who, while living, fought so valiantly to keep the city united.

Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon
Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

Peggy was our tour guide and was able to cover hundreds of years of ghostly history during the walking tour. Pirates, Revolutionary War, Civil War and some more "modern" times. Very interesting presentation. Wish we had stayed in Charleston for longer so we could have done some other ghost tours.

This tour was awesome! Not one second with Peggy seemed like it was a scripted act. The way she told the dark stories of Charlestons past gave everyone chills. One particular moment of the tour we were stopped in front of the building where pirates were held in the dungeon until death. Upstairs Peggy explained how there was a man who was held prisoner for a year in the dark second story room. She told us to not be surprised if we saw something or someone there (zoom into pictures at the dark second floor window and look in the left corner.) Thank you to Peggy for being so awesome and thorough!

My girlfriend and i were the only two on the tour as it was a stormy Monday night, but this didn't stop Weston from taking us on a late night personalised ghost tour. The lightning just added more to the spookiness of the night. Weston was really great! Highly knowledgable and also knows all the right spots to take you to get creeped out. A great way to hear about the history of Charleston few like to talk about. I'd highly recommend!!!!
