Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon

Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

No exaggeration probably the worst thing I’ve ever done.....still lost for words , tour guide never introduced himself, stories were bad , walked us in circles then heard more about irrelevant issues than ghost stories. I do not recommend this company AT ALL , save your money there’s better things to besides walk for an hour and hear this fake history.

I was supposed to go on this tour with a group of friends during our visit to Charleston, but the tour was canceled due to the curfews that were issued for the city in early June. Since then, we have been trying to get a refund for our tickets, as the situation was completely out of our control. It is late July and we still have not gotten our money back for a CANCELED tour. It was not like we changed our minds at the last minute and decided not to go. Very disappointed with how this situation is being handled.

The tour was GREAT and well worth the price, which was better than any other tours. Our guide’s knowledge of Charleston is incredible! He was informative, funny and personable. HiGHLY reccomend this tour!
