Charleston Ghosts of Liberty Guided Walking Tour

Overview
On Ghost City's Ghosts of Liberty Tour, you will see Haunted Charleston in a completely new way. You will view the Holy City through the paranormal lens of those who risked life and limb for Charleston, and for the birth of a nation.

Combining aspects of Charleston's famous ghost stories with the lesser known haunted tales of the Holy City, the Ghosts of Liberty Tour is a never before seen glimpse at the ghosts of Charleston who, while living, fought so valiantly to keep the city united.

Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon
Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

We were hoping for spooky stories and spots and some history of the town, but instead we got a disinterested tour guide who spent more time talking about himself than the history, and lots of looking at blurry photos which I could have done without. More ghost stories and less gabbing, too late at night to sit through boring stories and speculation, I've been on so many much better tours in this city and in others. Very disappointed and would NOT recommend the adult only late night tour since the guide was obviously exhausted and not interested. Would have left early had it not been so expensive. VERY unimpressed.

Ghost tour? We expected this tour to include more haunted locations and possible scariness. We got a lot of history, but not a lot of haunting which is what we hoped for in a ā€œghostā€ tour. Don was clearly knowledgeable about Charleston and its history, but the tour did not live up to its name. We stood outside 2 graveyards and other historic locations, however we were disappointed in this tour and would not recommend it if you are looking for a late night ghost tour.

The Death and Depravity tour was a fun way to get to know the ā€œdarkerā€ history of Charleston. Great from anyone who loves a few good creepy stories. Don was great and really knew his history! A fun night out with my husband.
