Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon

Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

Wandered downtown Charleston with Will as our guide. He is knowledgeable of the city’s history and respects the historical accuracy of his stories. One could not ask for a better tour than Death and Depravity. Not only was Will respectful of the spirits he discussed, he had pictures. I look forward to many future tours!

My daughter and I really enjoyed the Ghost Tour and our guide, Macy, was outstanding. Very entertaining and very knowledgeable about the all the ghost-experiences in Charleston. Her enthusiasm about the city and its history made the tour seem to fly by! Highly recommend.
