Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon

Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

This adult only tour was so much fun. Heard about the darker side of Charleston. Not scary, but very interesting stories! Our guide Lance was awesome! He encouraged questions and interaction. Such a funny guy. We really enjoyed the night. He was so sweet at the end to make sure everyone knew where they were going, which was so thoughtful since it was midnight. He walked my sister and I back to a cafe where we caught an uber back to the hotel. Highly recommended for a fun night!

We took the tour on our last night in Charleston and it was by far the one of the most fun and interesting things we did there. It was the perfect way to learn some history and check out some spots we wouldn't have otherwise. Cool way to see the city at night! Creepy ghost stories were just what we needed to get us into the Halloween spirit. Lance Colley was our tour guide and was amazing! Best guide we've ever had on any tour. He was super informative, hilarious and very entertaining. This tour is a most do if your visiting Charleston. Take the 10pm show!

We had a great time with Lance on this tour looking on the other side of Charleston's history. From the history to the personal stories he told, we were all entertained throughout our ghostly tour. We had a rare small (question hungry) group of 7 and Lance answered every question with ease and an awesome sense of humor.
