My husband and I have been on ghost tours around the country, but our favorite tour was with Mike Brown. We were lucky enough to be the only ones on his excellent tour, which was filled with both terrific history, spooky stories--all told a man who is committed and has extensive knowledge on paranormal activity, without the hokey or dumb theatrics that come with some ghost tours. Aside from the tour, we really enjoyed speaking with him about supernatural activities in New York and Savannah. We would recommend this tour to anyone. I should also point out that he didn't solicit for tips or ask for reviews like some other guides (but we were happy to do both because he deserves it).

On our first night in Charleston, what better way to start off our vacation than a ghost tour. We met our tour guide, Mike Brown, at 9:30 to start our tour. It was a chilly, drizzly night, so the group was limited to only 4 of us, but that was fine by me as it made it more personalized. Mike is a very good story teller and very knowledgeable on Charleston and its haunted past, even recounting his night he spent in the old city jail alone! I get goosebumps just thinking about that. While the weather was not great, I was so involved in his stories, that I barely noticed it. He told us of his podcast that he does as well, Pleasing Terrors, which I immediately had to start listening to upon my return home. Thanks for a great tour, Mike, and keep up the good work!!

Mike really knows his Charleston history! We have taken ghost tours in other cities, but this is by far the best one we have ever been on. He knows so much about the history of Charleston and it’s ghostly residents. The Edgar Allen Poe story in particular was so interesting!
