Part 1...scheduled in advance for 11 AM tour. Called HQ because bus wasn’t there. Was told it will arrive soon. Asked if it was well marked. Was told yes. No well marked bus ever came. Called again at 11:10 AM. Was told driver was looking for us. Not so. Just so happened an unmarked bus was being used that day and no advanced notice was given. End result after an unhappy conversation we were rescheduled for 12:30 PM. Also offered was a refund. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ Part 2: B.T. was our driver and guide. He related the history as we drove around to see the highlights of Charleston. He was informative, friendly and had a great sense of humor and irony. The tour was worth the money and something one should do when first arriving in Charleston. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We did a 90-minute tour of Charleston. We started late because there were some late attendees that were added. The bus was quite comfortable, especially considering the 91 degree temp outside. The driver (Valerie?) was incredibly personable and really seemed to have a passion for the job; however, she got side-tracked very easily. She went on a few lectures about confederate statues, and even sex-trafficking (not kidding). All the while, we are driving past the sites and not hearing about them. She'd add "look back there real quick," but it was too late because we were learning how truckers are trained to spot trafficked women at truck stops. Again, not kidding. I have no doubt that she's a good-hearted woman who meant well, but I feel like the tour was filled with too much filler or off-topic talking rather than actual information on the sites. You will not get off the bus on this tour, though she did offer people a quick option at Battery Park. Also, there are no bathrooms. They tell you this before, but of course we had a couple on the bus who had to stop 30 minutes in, so that took away some of our time. I don't have any other city tours to compare this to. But it at least gave you some ideas of where things were, and the guide did seem very knowledgeable about the city.

This was a great compact overview of the history of Charleston. Our guide was both funny and knowledgeable. I left actually being able to share what I learned with others
