Great tour. Valerie, our tour guide, was very high energy and fun for teens with us. Mini bus comfortable and thankfully air conditioned.

Ok, so my review is not really about the tour itself. The reason is, for most of the tour I was just wanting it to be over. The reason was, I was so uncomfortable on the bus. It was a hot day, and so was the inside of the bus. The entire tour I was sweating because of the poor air conditioning in the bus. I have been on bus tours before, but this is the first time I was ever sweating during a bus tour. We stopped to get out at one location and even though it was a sunny 90 degree day, it was more comfortable outside than in the bus. Now, will all the busses be like that... Probably not, but I'm just sharing with you my experience. All of my family was disappointed in the tour as a direct result of being uncomfortable the entire time.

We took this tour because Charleston was rainy that day. We'd taken the Gullah Tour the day prior, which was much better (though more difficult to understand). We had the "Crazy Lady" from GA as our guide on this tour. She gave fine information, but several times digressed inappropriately. At one point, she decided to share her religious views and then followed those with a story about someone who told her they preferred to hear Charleston information and not preaching. She stated that person clearly needed to hear her preaching! Sigh... We wouldn't get on a bus with her again.

Thank you for taking a city tour with us and for your feedback. We consistently work with tour guides to make sure the information given is interesting to all and objective. Of course, their are personal stories and opinions that may be thrown in occasionally depending on the topic. Charleston is nicknamed "The Holy City" due the large number of houses of worship on the peninsula, but we certainly should keep personal religious views out of the tour. We will reiterate this with all tour guides and appreciate the feedback again!
