If you’re in Philly, taking this tour of the Italian market with Chef Jackie is a MUST! She was the perfect guide - so knowledgeable and fun with so many stories to share about the neighborhood and it’s evolution through history. And the food!!!! Pizza and great company = the perfect afternoon in Philadelphia!

Jacquie is an incredible tour guide. She is obviously very proud of and very knowledgeable about the Italian market. She grew up in the immediate area and seemed to know most people that we encountered. She is charming with excellent interpersonal skills. She connected almost immediately with the three members of our group, especially with my wife. Jacquie and my wife are like kindred spirits, a distant relative that they had never had the opportunity to meet before. The tour included numerous stops at local shops in the market area, which always included tasty samples. We sampled Italian bread with fresh mozzarella, aged flavored vinegar, fresh meat, some cheese, cannolis, chocolate desserts and even some delicious pizza. The day that we went on this tour, it was hot; 95 degree heat index, but we had such a fun and entertaining time touring the Italian market, sampling the tasty food and being thoroughly entertained by Jacquie that we hardly noticed the heat! We strongly recommend this excellent tour

We met Jackie on time and she was an instant friend. She knows everybody on the street and in the shops because she is a local. We gained a real understanding of the culture of 9th street with her guidance. Only wish the tour had been longer!
