My boys, 20 and 22, and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. In fact they said it was one of their favorite things about our visit to Philly! Chef Jacquie was the perfect blend of expert knowledge of the food, market and neighborhood while being down- to-earth and friendly. She was the consummate hostess. The food was fabulous and we really enjoyed learning more about it, the neighborhood and the businesses that have been there for generations. I loved being able to stop in, talk to the business owners and learn more about their cooking techniques while tasting the products and experiencing this vibrant place. Unique, fun and a treat to share it with family!

We did this tour as a birthday present for a friend for her 70th birthday. It was awesome! Jacquie was funny and entertaining and just an all round good person. She shared a lot of personal memories of the Italian Market and knew a lot of history behind it. Our cheese at DiBruno's was excellent; Santucci's pizza was to die for; and the culmination of the day-- coffee and a delicious dessert at Anthony's-- was a great ending to the day. I want to do it all over again!!
