Within 5 min. Chef Jacqui knew i grew up in Philly!!! Go figure! My family and I have been to Philadelphia many times but they had never toured 9th Street and the market. Despite a very rainy day,we laughed and enjoyed her knowledge of the immigrant movement, its foods and, most importantly, its people! At the vinegar and oil shop, the Mexican tortilla shop,De Bruno's,(the Original One), Ispro's for cannoli's and meeting,(Basil #1 and Jr.) at Villa Roma,we tasted and tried lots of Italian foods that came here, not from Italy, but from Marco Polo and China. Who knew!!! The recipes though are truly a family thing. Santucci's made us a yummy home made tomato pie where we sat down and "broke bread"!! We bought all kinds of stuff and sampled gelato on the day after the Eagles won the Eastern Division for football!!!!!!!!! Its been awhile since I have been there but found the uniqueness of the area a reason to return soon. Chef, thanks for the memories! The Thiel families

We most likely would not have visited the Italian part of Philadelphia. Or two or guide Ū°Jackie was amazing full of historical knowledge and wonderful food.

I cannot tell you how much my entire family enjoyed Jacqui's tour. My family was in from TX and I brought along our 8 and 5 year old. She can entertain my dad at 66 and my daughter at 5. I will not take another tour without her from now on. My husband and I have lived here for 2.5 years and we love to get away to the city to learn more about it - she is a fantastic host with such a warm and hospitable personality. I will constantly recommend her!
