What To Expect

Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours

There is nothing like seeing the city on a Chicago Segway tour. With our exceptional guides, you will get an amazing overview of the Windy City's sights and sounds. You get up close to all of the attractions and cover a whopping 7/8 miles round trip. Segways are intuitive and easy to ride; if you can stand you can ride! You only glide with a maximum of 8 people per tour guide, so you are guaranteed to have personalized and fun adventure in the Second City that is second to none. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour's scheduled departure time to check in and fill out waivers. All guests will be fitted with helmets. The tour begins at the departure time with a training video and comprehensive one-on-one training with the tour guide. Training ensures that even the most nervous guest feels comfortable for the duration of the tour.

We drove by and saw a sign for a Segway tour. Next thing I know we did a u-turn and asked to find out more information. The people were nice, friendly and accommodating. Next thing we knew we changed our afternoon plans to try this out instead. It was one of the best times I have had! Period. Tyler was our guide, who was fun and very knowledgeable. He took out the anxiety one might have trying out something new like this. It was a great time of learning and adventure. By the time we were done with the tour, walking felt foreign, not riding on a Segway! I turned to my wife and said we should get Segways in our retirement and travel around and explore different cities! I liked it that much! Definitely recommend!

We had a great time segwaying around the Museum Campus with Aaron our tour guide. 3 of the 4 of us were newbies but we all got the hang of the segway within minutes and after awhile, it almost became second nature. I WANT ONE!! The day was pretty cold (around 45) and colder still out by the lake but with proper gloves and a coat it didn't matter so much. The only caution I have is that you are essentially standing in one spot for a couple of hours so don't forget to bend your knees a bit and flex your feet when you can. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Our tour guide was excellent. Brittany was so knowledgeable and passionate about Chicago. She did a great job combining fun facts with Chicago Architecture. Her humor was perfect. The minute you arrive you can sense the staff's excitement. The staff's #1 concern is your safety. They run you through a quick DVD tutorial of operating the segway. After you are done watching the tutorial, they work with you individually on the segways until you feel comfortable enough to drive one. Don't worry it is super easy and they are so much fun to drive. This might be your first tour with them, but I know it will not be your last. Thank you Absolutely Chicago Segway for the amazing experience.
