Chicago the Musical
'Chicago' tells an electrifying tale of murder, greed and showbiz. You'll see some of the best dancing on Broadway, with one showstopper after another performed by a gorgeous ensemble choreographed in the style of Bob Fosse. You'll also hear hits such as "All that Jazz", "Razzle Dazzle" and "Class". It's no wonder Entertainment Weekly calls 'Chicago' insanely entertaining. If you're looking for Broadway at its best, there's only one place to head: 'Chicago'!

I was skeptical at first not to be able to have tickets in hand but we made last minute plans and the price was great! We got amazing seats for half the price and the young man was waiting for us when and where he said he would be. The agency kept in contact with me and all were very polite! First time using this , but certainly not the last!

Used Headout to buy tickets online. I arrived early and the guy with the tickets was just where I expected him to be. I picked up my ticket and got into the venue with no hassle at all. Overall, excellent, simple, accurate service. The show was spectacular also!

The show was entertaining but I must confess that I did not enjoy it as much as I had expected for hoped. Firstly, the seating layout in the theatre gave the least amount of leg room I've ever experienced which made it very uncomfortable to sit for extended periods of time. I appreciated the presence of the live band on stage, however this took up most of the stage and so the show was mainly performed on a narrow-ish strip at the front. This didn't allow for a proper set, or many props so the show was minimalistic, in my opinion. I have watched the movie several times. It is a favourite of mine but I feel anyone who had little or no understanding of the story line would have found the show difficult to follow as I don't think it was very clear. The cast mics weren't loud enough, especially when singing over the live band. It was difficult to hear the lyrics when they were singing even though ma familiar with the soundtrack. The humerous lines I know from the movie were over exaggerated in the show to the point where it wasn't funny. That being said, plenty of other people were laughing so I guess they found it funny. Some of the acting was over the top too. Overall, it cheapened the comedy and the performance. The cast's voices were fantastic, however although some of the songs felt misplaced and I lost interest. I didn't see the relevance of the character Mary Sunshine's song and I found 'Nowadays' boring even though, the lyrics suggested it was supposed to be funny. We got our tickets via a last minute deal for £60 ($75) with 'Headout' but even for a special offer, I don't feel like this was good value for money. Sadly, I was disappointed by the entire show and wished I'd never watched it. I did enjoy the singing and dancing however. This may be controversial, but I really did much prefer the film to the show which is not a popular opinion of mine. I would save your money, or watch another show. I wish I had.
