Our services include pick up from your downtown Chicago hotel, a 3-4 hour private City Tour in a chauffeured vehicle, and the services of one of our knowledgeable guides. This means you will have two people working with you the entire time, allowing you to get out of the vehicle with your guide at several stops. These stops include, but are not limited to Millennium Park, Lincoln Park Conservatory, Museum Campus, and more. The tour will be interactive and entertaining, covering history, architecture and culture. We share stories to bring Chicago's rich history to life. I had explained in advance that we had one handicapped person in the group and that we wanted to have lunch in Chinatown during part of the 4 hour tour (something fast and good). Unfortunately, this was not planned well because our guide took us first to a restaurant with no reservations, stairs (impossible!) and no elevator, and a waiting time of about 30 minutes to be seated. We wasted time going there. Then the guide thought of another place a block a way that we went to; this also had a lot of people waiting to be seated and again no reservations. I had asked to see the ethnic neighborhoods of Chicago as part of the general 4 hour tour. We did see a lot of the standard places that visitors like to go, but when I asked about going to Koreatown or Little Italy, there was not enough time allotted to do this. Our guide and driver could not have been nicer. Our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. He spoke fast and had a lot of innuendos that went over the head of my companion. Chicago, of course, lends itself to a great tour because of its history and amenities. I just think for the considerable amount of money we spent, more customization and advance planning could have been done. I can't help but wonder why this company does not certify its guides as having passed some sort of certification for the industry, or why it does not belong to a professional agency of some sort that has standards for quality. We had a good time but I rated this "average" based upon the comments above.

Thank you for your review. We always strive to give 5 star service and are very sorry you felt like you received less than that on your tour. Your tour was booked the night before your requested departure time of 9:30 am. With short notice, we accommodated your desired date and time. Once we were informed that a member of your party uses a wheel chair, the vehicle choice that would be most comfortable for the group was gone over in great detail. You also mentioned a desire to visit some ethnic neighborhoods, and mentioned China Town in particular. This information was also notated and was included in your tour. Unfortunately, you never mentioned that you wanted to eat lunch during your tour while booking. Once lunch in Chinatown was mentioned during the actually tour, the guide adjusted the route to maximize the amount of sites you would see as well as time for a lunch stop. China Town locations do not accept reservations on weekends. We have spoken to your guide, Matthew, and understand that one restaurant’s elevator was out of order. We do apologize for that inconvenience, but Matthew quickly adjusted to another location. Your guide Matthew is one of our best guides and is praised in many other TripAdvisor reviews. All of our guides go through a very strenuous training process before becoming a tour guide, in accordance with all city requirements. We are pleased that you did have a good time. We only had a day to sight-see in Chicago so we decided to make the most of it and see the most we could and Chicago Private Tours definetly enabled us to. We scheduled at the last minute (10 o'clock the night before) and they were happy to accomandate the four of us for a four hour tour. Our guide Joe was so energetic and had an obvious love for the city, not to mention he knew everything about Chicago. Our driver Fabian added insightful and hilarious commentary while still navigating our comfortable Sprinter van through the crazy traffic. The two of them where able to accomandate anything we needed during the tour including food and a quick camera memory card stop at Best Buy. The tour was perfectly routed as Joe was able to show us a ridiculous amount of Chicago in our short amount of time. Would definetly reccomend the tour to visitors of the city looking to get a brief, but siteseeing packed tour.

We scheduled a tour for 4 people, one of us wasn't as mobile as the rest. They met us in the lobby of our hotel and loaded us into a little bus which was very comfortable. Off we went for a 4 hour tour of the city of Chicago. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. If there was a spot we wanted to stop they pulled right over giving us time to visit, take pics and see. I have been to Chicago before taking several of the other tours there, but I have never got to see and learn so much about so many areas. I loved that we didn't have to worry about finding a seat, hurrying or worrying about other people. It was a wonderful way to see Chicago. No other tour could compare. Worth every penny and then some!
