The Chicago Architecture Center or CAC (formerly the Chicago Architecture Foundation, CAF) is at the south end of the Magnificent Mile near the intersection of Michigan and Wacker.
Tour Guides are trained and certified by the CAC. As volunteers, they are exceptionally motivated, enthusiastic, and capable interpreters of Chicago's world-class architectural legacy. CAC tours are the real deal - narrated, but not scripted, led by Chicago enthusiasts.
Access to building interiors featured on this tour may be subject to change, due to weekend and holiday schedules or unforeseen closures.

No, we didn't consider the weather when we booked the tour, and our guide seemingly was unaffected. Excellent introduction to Art Deco with explanations about the uniqueness and symbolism. We will look at the Chicago skyline and facades differently now.

This tour was very informative. We really enjoyed viewing both the inside and outside of great buildings. It is amazing how we could live in Chicago all our lives and yet we continue to learn about our beautiful and fascinating city. Our guide, Betsy, was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough and entertaining. She made the tour extremely enjoyable. Thank you. We love continued learning about the architecture of our Windy City.
