The Chicago Architecture Center or CAC (formerly the Chicago Architecture Foundation, CAF) is at the south end of the Magnificent Mile near the intersection of Michigan and Wacker.
Tour Guides are trained and certified by the CAC. As volunteers, they are exceptionally motivated, enthusiastic, and capable interpreters of Chicago's world-class architectural legacy. CAC tours are the real deal - narrated, but not scripted, led by Chicago enthusiasts.

Enjoyed the tour with three friends, the guide was well informed and kept control of the group of a dozen or so people. Great to learn about Chicago history and architecture. FYI: the guide doesn't accept tips- thu he earned one!

Seeing the buildings and Art Deco aspects were good, but we ended up with a very mediocre docent, who dragged out the tour an extra 20 minutes with information that was, at best, peripheral to the actual tour. She read off of notes (literally read them to us) and when asked where the term Art Deco came from, she had no idea.
