I had a great time at the food tour around Little Italy & Chinatown. Not only did we get to try some amazing foods that represent both Italy and China, we also learned some very interesting facts about the history of the neighborhoods. The positive and fun energy from both our guides, Alana & Liz, made the tour so much better. I will definitely go back and purchase some of the things we tried during the food tour, especially some Italian cheese! Thank you guys for a great experience and memories to bring back home to Sweden!

Alana is an excellent guide! She took us through Little Italy and Chinatown, not only sharing the best eats, but telling us stories and explaining to us the history of the area. We enjoyed learning a lot about these two neighborhoods and loved even more tasting all the delicious food! We returned to Chinatown the next day on our own to taste some of her recommendations that we didn't have time for the previous day. We would have never found any of these locations on our own, it definitely helped having a local lead us. We appreciated that the group was kept small. We had seen so many tours in NYC carrying flags or talking into microphones with the entire group wearing headphones. The tour was small enough so we could always hear what she was saying and we were able to ask all of our questions along the way. We did the tour in November and it was a bit cold, come prepared for the weather! It was an excellent tour - definitely would recommend!

We were part of a group of 12 or so that did the Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest Tour with Ahoy. It was very well organized and the written materials received upon registration regarding where to meet, what to wear and what to expect were excellent. It was a very hectic weekend as there was a festival taking in place in Little Italy, so timing was apparently critical. Things moved promptly but I never got to really know the guide. It seemed very pre-rehearsed. Also, other tours I have been on, we get to actually visit the premises and meet either the owner or manager to hear something interesting about the restaurant. That never happened on this tour. In fact, at least half of the stops required us to eat in the street after the guide went in and brought out the samples. Not a bad tour, but I have enjoyed many others more.
