This is a MUST if you are visiting New York City not only for the spectacular views of one of the most photographed cities (seeing it with your own eyes can’t be beaten) but also because of the commentary which points out places of interest and little pieces of information which most people would not know. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that the food available was limited and expensive. Minor issue I know and easily avoided by others.

Probably the best thing we did in New York, being on the water provided a nice escape from the heat and humidity and the tour guide was excellent. Cruising past the harbour where the Titanic was supposed to dock and at which the Carpathian later did with survivors, going under the famous bridges and getting a better perspective of the city as a whole. Going past the Statue of Liberty when it's lit up at dusk and the view of the lights of Manhattan was fantastic. I would advise anybody to take this cruise.

We had a free evening and wanted to get some quick views of the Statue of Liberty, Manhattan skyline, and Brooklyn Bridge. This evening Harbor Lights cruise was perfect for what we were looking for, and we really enjoyed the 2-hour trip on the Hudson and East River. The only real drawback was the service while on board. The drinks were extremely expensive with 2 drinks running us $30. And the drinks were not even very good. The bartender was clearly not excited to be there, and didn't really know how to make many kinds of drinks. We didn't get food, but people around us who did talked about how slow the service was. Really need to step up their performance in those areas, and this cruise could be 5-star.
