Don't forget your Passports! 1130 and 230 pm City Summit - departs from Yukon Heath's Popcorn Emporium, located at 485 Broadway Avenue, Skagway, AK 99840 (see map below). We selected this tour since it appeared to be the best all-in-one tour of Skagway based on the title: City, mountain summit, shore excursion. The city tour was quite short with a few of the building identified as we drove through town. The mountain summit was the majority of the tour and included multiple stops at various view points. The guide did provide a lot of information regarding the history of the area as was entertaining. The shore portion of the tour did not exist unless you count stopping at a park the overlooked the bay. Hence, the disappointment. For the price, this tour probably had better views of the country, waterfalls and mountain peaks plus provided better opportunities for photos than would have been available on a rail tour in the same area. Had I realized that this tour was not going to travel along the shore (known for wildlife viewing) I would have booked that tour separately.

We spent 2 1/2 hours learning all about Skagway and the environment from Bryan Terrell. It was one of the best touring experiences we've ever had, and Bryan was funny, informative and entertaining. A few weeks later, we've remembered just about everything he told us! He was such a great story teller. Although I don't think we're going back to this part of the world soon, if we do, we'll spend another several hours with Bryan.
