This tour was very enjoyable. Bryan Terrell, the mini-bus driver with the sweet mullet, was an outstanding tour guide. As we left Skagway, Bryan was a world of information. And his sense of humor was very enjoyable. Everyone on the bus felt at ease. In comparison to other methods to reach the summit of White Pass, I strongly taking the smaller buses (vs a motor coach). We were able to get to many roadside stops well before the coaches arrived thus eliminating the crowds waiting for their photo opportunities. Bryan's, a long time tour guide, insights at these stops (and the history and times of Skagway) was invaluable.

The guide was interesting and we made several stops along the way to take pictures. The bus goes up to White Pass and slightly across the border into Canada, so you need to have your passport along. We got a view of the train across the valley. The train later had a problem so the rest of the trains that day were cancelled. With good weather, it was a pretty drive and interesting to go up to the timberline. With bad weather, it might not be worthwhile. The driver gave a good suggestion of hiking around Lower Dewey Lake.

Tour guide was thoroughly versed in the Skagway story. Guests all seemed to really enjoy the points of interest and local history.
