Celebrating my 42k (or 26.2 miles) New York marathon the day before I had a magical afternoon watching the sunset and a full moon at the same time at 387 meters above a beautiful city. I was alone except my to guides Chris and Safi. They together with all staff made it a very funny and of course safe experience.

Quick tips/summary: no loose items and nothing in your pockets (no jewelry, bracelets, phone/watch, etc.); this WILL take at least 2 hours start to finish; staff is very thorough and will talk you through each step of the way, starting from the first moment you're taken back; equipment is VERY safe and sturdy (you go through 4 equipment checks before going out). On to the full review: This is an expensive experience, but extremely unique. This experience takes the full 1.5-2 hours as others have said. You have an opportunity to use the restroom in the beginning before going up any elevators. This is basically the final chance to use the restroom. All of the staff is super friendly. You go through a check-in process where they check your weight (pass/fail only, no numbers), height, and a breathalyzer (no this is not a joke). You're taken up to the Edge observatory deck where everyone is. In the glass room, you put on your equipment. Everyone can see you, but you can see them too (it's a glass room after all). The equipment is extremely sturdy feeling and at no point does it feel like you're in an unsafe position. They run through like 4 checks of your equipment by different staff members. Once you're outside, you're strapped in to the harness. Once you're attached, that's it. You will not be unconnected/detached until the end of the full experience. As you climb the stairs, it can be a bit steep. You also go single file, so you won't be passing anyone up the stairs. The leans are a bit scary but once you do them once, it's not so bad. It's a rain or shine experience. They seem pretty nice about re-booking in the event of inclement weather. I think the only time when it's cancelled outright is when there's lightning. You get a free video of the experience but photos cost extra. We decided to get the photos since it was pretty unique. Pro tip: if you make friends with the group, one person can buy the photos and share with everyone. The entire group's photos are available. The only disappointing thing was that the video did not have any sound. Probably makes sense since there'd be a lot of wind and poor quality audio. But that was a bummer. Like I said, it's an extremely unique experience. It's expensive, but not a lot of other places where you can do this (if any). We had a great time. Great view, everyone was friendly, extremely safe. Recommended if you have the time and money! Price came out to ~$200 per person after taxes and fees
