I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, there are so many over grown trees, etc that riding on the upper deck was dangerous. Second the guide made some joking comments that were at best, in poor taste, towards some Hasidic Jews who were on our tour, and IMO were racist. We rode inside the bus for much of the tour, me by choice, and my family because there were no seats above. I have NO idea what was said on half the tour because the sound system wasn’t working correctly. We stopped in Little Havana and were directed to coffee, mojito, and cigar stores, none of which we were the least bit interested in. Plus that took so long that our “hour to eat and shop” at the market became 30 minutes. They basically shoved us into one restaurant that supposedly had a “quick menu.” It was horribly over priced for wretched food. We had 5 minutes to eat by the time the food got to our table. They also had the audacity to charge an 18% tip automatically. They messed up there because we always tip higher than that. Speaking of tips, we were hounded constantly for tips. Once we boarded the boat, we couldn’t hear the announcer saying what we were seeing because of some really loud timeshare pushers. I had such a bad headache by the time we were halfway into the trip that I just wanted it to be over. The trip back to our car was a crush of people trying to shove onto the bus. I would never recommend this trip. I have a high tolerance for a lot of things, but this trip was 5 hours of boredom and misery.

There wasn’t much of a tour on the bus at all. You just seemed to drive around and then stop at a cigar shop. After the bus tour is over, you are forced to go to an overpriced restaurant for lunch. There you are given 20 minutes to eat. The worst part was the boat. My son is handicapped so the told our party to step out of line and come to the front. Then they changed their mind and said we were skipping line. The staff then kept talking about us very loudly and laughing. We then were sent back to the very end of the boarding line (please note we were nearly at the front before). We boarded the boat. Because my son is in a wheelchair, we chose to sit inside. They has the air conditioning set at 83. Needless to say, it was very hot. I had to use the restroom on the boat. I have never seen anything that disgusting! No way they have cleaned it for months! Now onto the actual tour. Lies, lies, and more lies is how I would explain it. One house they said was owned by the inventor of Viagara. That drug was invented by a large pharma company that this doctor had nothing to do with. The other was Justin Bieber just built a new house. He does not own a house. He was actually in Miami at the same time renting Versace’s house. I don’t believe a word they said.

We went on the city/boat ride tour and it was a mess. The waiting never ended. We had to wait over 45 mins to get on the bus. The bus didn’t have any A/C and if you were on the top tier of the bus, you had to be ducking down all the time to avoid branches, signs and anything that would be on the way. The boat ride was hideous!!! They made us wait 1.5 hours before we finally left the dock because they wanted to fill up the boat with people. The girl that was narrating the tour was annoying. On top of everything, they announced that a raffle was going to take place to win trips to Las Vegas, Cancun, Orlando etc. Naive enough we filled out the raffle tickets to come find out it’s a Timeshare scam from the company 305 Vacations. Bottom line, save yourself from a horror trip and do not tour with Miami Tours.
