We had been looking for things to do while in Sarasota and between the good reviews we read on Tripadvisor and some people who we talked to who said they really enjoyed this City Tour we decided to book the 3 p.m. tour. The tour is an hour and a half. First when booking on line, we found the same tour listed on two different sites for a difference of approximately $5 a person. This is not a hop-on-hop-off tour. You are given a bottled water when you are on the trolley. Some seats are facing forward and seat 2. There are seats toward the front of the trolley that are placed along the side of the trolley. I found it difficult to view things when they were pointing out buildings, houses, etc. seating in these seats. The driver Ziggy and the tour guide Jenny were nice. Jenny uses a headpiece and mike so you can hear her just fine and yet we found her too loud. The tour unfortunately was lacking. There were issues with the air conditioning in the trolley. Some people found it too cold and some too hot, We felt the presentation of what Sarasota was and what it has become could have been presented better, made more interesting and more in-depth. We found the tour boring at times. We were going to go to St. Armand's Circle but unfortunately the traffic was bad so we turned right around after going over the bridge and went back. We certainly understand as we would have been very late in our return to our beginning point. I would not recommend this tour to someone coming to Sarasota.

Thank you for taking the time to submit this review. If you book your tickets on our own website they will always be cheaper than if you buy from an affiliate so we always encourage our guests to go to our website when booking. During high season our tours sell out so we have full trolleys. We also have variable weather so making the temperature perfect for every person is an impossibility but we do try and we also encourage people who are too cold to bring sweaters. Seating is provided forward facing or on benches and offered first come first served so we encourage people to come early if they have a specific seat preference. I am sorry you did not learn about our wonderful city; perhaps you might like to try one of our specialty tours such as the Circus History Tour or Amish Experience or Public Art tour for a more in-depth experience of a specific aspect of the city. I am happy to provide you with complimentary tickets to try us again if you email me directly at [email protected]. We want every guest to be delighted.

Loved this tour! Live 30 minutes away but this tour showed us all the highlights, places we might like to visit, go to a show or enjoy a meal. The owner was personable and upbeat and has an adorable gift shop. Our tour guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and extremely entertaining!! Now that I know what they have to offer, myself and many others will be booking again!!

Thank you so much---what a nice compliment for my shop and for Steve! He does the Irish Hooley on the Trolley for St. Pat's Day so you might enjoy seeing him perform as Seamus!
