Coconut Grove

This is the greenest area in Miami, like a jungle in the middle of the city. Passing by Vizcaya Museum and Ermita de la Caridad

Stop for Lunch. Calle 8 has become an attraction because is like a piece of Cuba inside Miami, full of cuban restaurants to taste the cuban cuisin. Enjoy a cuban coffe on us and take your time for souvenirs, domino, cigars, music and much more.

Bayside Marketplace

This tour included a wonderful tour by van to lots of interesting places around Miami; Little Havana and Coconut Grove were my favorites. The van driver, Jose, was well informed about the local history. He made sure we were able to see the neighborhood peacocks in one area and got us the best Cuban coffee in Little Havana. The boat trip included in the tour was a wonderful way to see Miami by water and learn more about the area.

The tour was very well done, covering most areas of interest and allowing time for exploring at each. The guide was nice, obliging, and well-informed. It was difficult to find out much about the tour in advance, however, either from the tour website or from TripAdvisor, through which I booked it. The website required the cruise boat name, etc., which was not relevant for our situation (staying on land, not at one of the hotels they pick up at), and it was at all clear whether there was walking or just riding, or what was involved. I really think this should be more professional and useful. The phone no. became available only AFTER I had booked on line. It took a long time to figure anything out. But Jose, the driver/guide, was excellent. The Biscayne Bay boat tour was pleasant, mostly pointing out celebrities' homes on the islands. It would have been nice to know about the history and nature there. So ultimately, it was a good tour, but very difficult to understand and book in advance.

My wife and I had the privilege of doing the city tour plus - what a magic experience. Jose was our driver and guide. He is one of the most courteous and decent humans we've met. He was very knowledgeable in his descriptions of the sights, landmarks etc. and did not dwell too much on unnecessary trivia. He could not show us enough of what Miami had to offer. He took us to quaint streets to show us how "the other half" live. You will not get this on any other stereotypical tour. He was not in any hurry to get us back to the hotel either. We saw HEAPS. Thank you Jose! Even better - we booked him to take us to the airport the next day, to return home to Australia. Even that trip was good value. Take these tours - you will enjoy them.
