Clear Creek Intermediate Whitewater Rafting near Denver

Overview
Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

Itā€™s an awesome trip and super fun! We were on the water about 1.5 hours and our guide taught us how to work as a team. Weā€™ll definitely come back again!

Just did a trip them a couple weeks ago and it was fantastic! Iā€™ve rafted class 3-4+ rapids before with a family friend that was a guide. This was my first time paying a company so I wasnā€™t sure that the Intermediate ride would be all that challenging/exciting. Ohhhh it was!! It was my boyfriendā€™s first time rafting and he loved it. He said as a first timer he felt prepared and safe. The guides are thorough in their safety talks, answer any and all questions and concerns, and know what they are doing. If you arenā€™t in stellar shape, familiar with rafting, or a strong paddler stick with the intermediate trip initially. I promise youā€™ll love it. Itā€™s been 10 years since Iā€™ve been on a trip and Iā€™m happy I didnā€™t jump on the advanced one. šŸ˜… The section of river we were on was beautiful. The water was a little lower so the rafting was technical in some parts. Iā€™ve never fallen out of the raft on a trip before until this time. Thatā€™s all part of the fun but it can be scary. Because of the safety talk I knew exactly what to do and got myself to safety. Our guide was able to come help me out pretty quick. Sam was our guide. He was a wealth of knowledge and a great time, as were all the other guides! If Iā€™m ever in Colorado again, I will be back.
