Had a really nice time kayaking in clear bottom kayaks. Our tour guide Caleb was super chill and knowledgeable and spent a lot of time both with taking us to see neat things but also educating us about the biology of bioluminescence. Highly recommend! Recommend bringing plenty of bug spray (thankfully our guide had extra). Don’t need to bother with bringing a camera during the actual tour-it is dark and really hard to capture.

This tour was a birthday surprise from my boyfriend. We went on the 10:45pm tour. I was nervous because I've never been kayaking and it was completely dark out. Buuuuuuut... Chad, Hunter and Devin (sorry if I butchered your names) made it so fun. They love their jobs and it shows. They made the tour so much fun. Their confidence also eased my nerves. Hunter and Devin came to the rescue a few times when we fell behind or floated off. I appreciate their patience and quick kayaking lessons. I was mesmerized by the water and the fish. I really appreciate them taking the time and allowing us newbies to take it all in. I believe the tour guide was Chad and he gave a lot of information regarding the marine life and the lagoon but he wasn't boring. He made it very interactive and interesting. I definitely recommend this tour. I'm definitely going to go back.

My sons and I were visiting from Sweden taking an adventure road trip around Florida and this was definitely the highlight! I could have camped out in that boat and gazed at the bio and the stars all night! We not only got lucky with the weather and the bio, but we got lucky with a great group and exceptional tour guide, Chaz. If he hadn't had so much knowledge about where to go and what to look for, you would think it was his first time seeing this awesome phenomenon. He was like a kid in a candy store. I was so worried that my expectations were too high and I wouldn't be impressed with this experience, but this was so much better than expected. It was literally like we were gliding over stars! This is an absolute MUST for everyone and I 100% recommend doing it with A Day Away. If you're lucky like us, you'll even get to tour it with Chaz :)
