Minutes from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs State Park mermaids see the river from a whole new perspective with this kayaking tour! Ride in a clear kayak- which has the advantage of greater visibility of the underwater world. Kayak quiet and calm coastal waters before paddling up the active and beautiful spring-fed waters of the river. Be on the lookout for wildlife like manatees, turtles, fish, birds and much more! A great adventure for beginners but we do paddle upstream for the first half of the tour, which is a great workout and worth the drift paddle back to the launch site. Your guide will stop for pics along the away! Expect an adventure that is part wild and part urban as this iconic river is a popular one to enjoy living and recreating on! We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour. Please remember the river and wildlife is subject to daily changes in behavior and conditions. All kayaks are tandem. Weight limit of 250lbs per seat and 425lbs per kayak.

My wife and I are kayak novices, and we had a great tour. We got a workout and learned a lot about the area, and local wildlife. We were lucky to see all kinds of wildlife including manatee, eagles, and much more. Our guide was fun, informative, and always checked on us, since we were the slowest kayak. Next time we are in the Weeki Wachee area we will go again; I highly recommend the 'Get Up and Go Kayaking' tour!

We did the Weeki Wachee tour 8AM on a Sunday and it was INCREDIBLE. We had never seen such clear beautiful water and surrounding scenery. There were many different types of large birds and fish in the water, and we also had two manatees swimming right beside our kayak for about 2 miles!! It was such an amazing experience. There were no other boats on the water since we went early, other than a few other kayakers, and the paddle was an easy go - my 60 year old Father joined us with no problems. Our guides were super friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. I would highly recommend this experience and I would happily do it again next time I am in Tampa!

Great Informative Tour! The hubby and I took this eco friendly tour in clear kayaks. Our guide Lisa, was on time, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. We were fortunate to see a beautiful Manatee that swam up to everyone kayak! I would definitely recommend. Tip: Wear beach shoes, otherwise you will be asked to remove your shoes. Also they provide a bag for your stuff so it won't get wet.
