Minutes from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs State Park mermaids see the river from a whole new perspective with this kayaking tour! Ride in a clear kayak- which has the advantage of greater visibility of the underwater world. Kayak quiet and calm coastal waters before paddling up the active and beautiful spring-fed waters of the river. Be on the lookout for wildlife like manatees, turtles, fish, birds and much more! A great adventure for beginners but we do paddle upstream for the first half of the tour, which is a great workout and worth the drift paddle back to the launch site. Your guide will stop for pics along the away! Expect an adventure that is part wild and part urban as this iconic river is a popular one to enjoy living and recreating on! We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour. Please remember the river and wildlife is subject to daily changes in behavior and conditions. All kayaks are tandem. Weight limit of 250lbs per seat and 425lbs per kayak.

Lisa the tour guide was very informative, nice and made the whole trip a great experience! Not only did she wait for me since I was coming from California (my flight was delayed) but I made it on time. We saw manatees, lots of wildlife. Thank you , looking forward to try rainbow river next!

We went on the 3:00 kayak tour, and it was very nice. There was a group of 8 of us, but that amount was definitely more difficult to travel through the packed waters of boats, people, and other kayakers. It would have been better with a smaller group, or a heads up on the density of people in the water. We had Davis as a guide, and he was great. Very personable, knew much about the waters, and helped us greatly through the busy waters. The clear kayaks were great, and would recommend! The waters current did give us a great workout, so make sure if you go that you expect the exercise as well. Overall, pretty good and fun!
