Overview

Minutes from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs State Park mermaids see the river from a whole new perspective with this clear kayaking ecotour! Kayak through a quiet estuary where, fresh and salt water mix, before paddling up the very active and beautiful spring-fed waters of the river. Be on the lookout for wildlife like manatees, turtles, fish, birds and dolphins! A great adventure for beginner paddlers but we do paddle upstream for the first half of the tour, which is a workout and worth the drift paddle back to the launch site. Your guide will stop for pics along the away! Expect an adventure that is part wild and part urban as this iconic river is a popular one to enjoy living and recreating on! We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour. Please remember the river and wildlife is subject to daily changes in behavior and conditions. All kayaks are tandem. Weight limit of 250lbs per seat and 425lbs per kayak. One adult to one child is required unless otherwise arranged.

Individual cannot exceed 250lbs per manufactures restrictions and the combined weight of 2 paddlers cannot exceed 425lbs
All kayaks are tandem unless otherwise arranged
We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour
Children under 3 are prohibited from participating due to safety reasons
A ratio of one adult to one child (3-17) is required to participate in this tour

What an amazing tour! The river, the houses around, the nature and also the wildlife was totally worth a trip. We totally loved the kajak tour and even saw a lot of Manatees (even though it wasnt the perfect time of the year for that). Thanks to the clear sight kajak we also saw one right below our boat! Special thanks to our amazing tour guide Davis!! He did such a great job telling us all the information we needed while also having an eye of us since we were Kajak-beginners. I had a great clear kayak tour yesterday with my family. Micheal was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Weeki Wachee river. He was very patient with those of us who never kayaked before. We saw 4-5 manatees on our adventure! I highly recommend this tour and ask for Micheal to be your tour guide.

What an amazing experience! Davis was a fantastic guide (10/10) and shared his knowledge of the area and wildlife with us. He was patient and friendly the entire trip. The River was breathtakingly beautiful! We saw several manatees and even a baby as well as many fish, birds, flowers and other sights along the way. What a fun way to spend an afternoon!
