Really enjoyed what little we did. Weather was not the best, very humid and some rain. The colonial dressed staff were very helpful except one. We enjoyed the Governor's Palance and just walking, seeing the old buildings and living in the past. We really enjoyed the shoemaker. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered our questions. Would definitely recommend.

A waste of money. The majority of the attractions were closed, no fife and drum bands in the streets, the reenactment in the main square near the arsenal did not go on and almost no food options in Colonial Williamsburg, many of the shops were closed.Until this virus ends you are better off not paying for the ticket and just going in to see the village.

My wife and I took our three grandchildren (ages 14, 10, and 8) for their first trip to Williamsburg. My wife and I have visited numerous times in the past, but probably not for the last 20 years. Little has changed physically in the historic section. It is still the premier site of its type anywhere and there is much to experience. But Covid has taken its toll. There were very few tourists about and many of the buildings were closed. The old bustle of the streets and air of excitement were missing. We were also surprised by the condition of many structures. Several were in need of paint; roofs were dirty and growing moss. It appeared maintenance was slipping. I hope we were mistaken because of the importance of Williamsburg to our culture. Overall, the visit did not live up to our expectations.
