Overview

A rare opportunity to see the ancient bond between man and bird. In a small group, you will interact with a variety of hawks, falcons and owls, learn their natural history and their differences, and see an unforgettable flying demonstration. The Beginners Experience culminates with a chance for you
to put on a glove and hold a trained falcon.

There is a licensed falconer who oversees and presents each experience. The birds engage only by their own will.

We have enjoyed the falconry experience with Broadmoor Outfitters twice in the last several weeks. The beginner class with Roger which was exceptionally good and the intermediate class with Kathryn which was above and beyond our expectations. It is hard to describe the quality of the program, the information it contained and the hands on experience of participating personally with live birds of prey up close and personal; as close as the watch on your wrist. Stunning, inspiring, an unforgettable experience presented over a 2 hour period with detailed history and explanation of the sport of falconry and the birds wild natures that make it up. A history of conservation between man and nature that is quite extraordinary. Totally compatible with The Broadmoor experience of excellence.

My daughter and I went to this exceptional experience! Roger knows his hawks, falcons, and owls!!! He explained what they are capable of doing, the history, the differences between them. We got to see Kaz fly to the trees and come back to Roger, plus there were 10 of us and we made a tunnel with all our hands in the air in a line, and Kaz flew through it to Roger. We got to have Kaz sit on our arm with a glove on of course, and got pics. They named their raptors after the movie Top Gun. We seen Maverick, Goose, and Iceman. Thank you very much Roger for a wonderful time, we will always remember it!
